Most anglers want rods that will cast their bait further than they've ever done before. But in order to do that, they need rods that they'll be able to use. It's a myth that you need an ultra stiff, ultra 'high performance' rod to cast a bait further. In fact, for a lot of anglers, using so-called high performance rods actually decreases their fishing potential! A Formula 1 racing car may have amazing performance, but would you want one as an everyday car? It wouldn't even be road legal. And, where would you put your gear when you go fishing?

The true performance of any rod, is in the relationship between the angler, the rod and his ability to be able to use it in a fishing situation.
