Choosing a high performance ultra stiff rod won't
make you cast any further. In fact, for a lot of anglers, using
a so called "high performance" rod will actually decrease
fishing potential!
The "true" performance of any rod is in
the relationship between the angler, the rod and his ability to
be able to use it in a fishing situation. If you can't use a rod,
you won't catch fish with it. Sounds simple, and it is, if you concentrate
on catching fish and forget about the myth of "high performance".
All of our rods are designed to be easy to use in
the real world for fishing with. They don't have ultra stiff, ultra
long range, ultra difficult to use, tournament style blanks that
could end up putting you in traction.
By asking and then answering the three questions above,
and ignoring some of the myths that have grown up in recent years
regarding blank actions, you will have the information you need
to be able to start choosing a rod.
But that's only the start of your decision making
process . . .
This month’s advice : never
buy a rod for catching Bass, just because it has the word Bass
is written on it. There are more techniques and methods available
to catch this fish than just about any other species, so a rod named
Bass won't help you!
